In the Republic of Togo, according to data from the 2017 MICS6 report, out of 1012 children, only 48.5 % of children aged 12 to 23 months were completely vaccinated against target diseases of the Vaccination Program (PEV) at any time in their lives. A more in -depth analysis of This data shows that only 40.4 % of these children were vaccinated before the age of 12 months of the vaccine calendar recommended by the PEV. In addition, 5.1 % of children received no vaccine while neonatal mortality is 33.6 per 1000 in the maritime region and 15.7 per 1000 In the central region. In addition, the results of the national vaccination coverage survey led by the PEV in 2024 show that valid vaccine covers of the traceer antigens and the performance indicators display results well below the objectives set with rates 95.6 % for the BCG; 95.2 % for the Penta1; 90.3 % for the Penta3; 80.8 % for RR1 and 57.7 % for RR2. About 10 % of children who received their third dose of Penta3 remain unprotected. Likewise, the proportion of valid doses of RR1 is 87.3 %, which means that around 13 % of children would not be protected against measles. It is likely that the reasons will be assigned to vaccination delays, hence the need to take adequate measures for compliance with the vaccination calendar.
